About Me

Carole Ryan-Ridout BSc. MA MRICS MIFA IHBC is a historical and traditional building consultant with 28 years experience in local authority conservation work at a senior level. A Chartered Surveyor and Buildings Archaeologist, she is a former Senior Lecturer and Director of an MSc Building Conservation Course at Bournemouth University (17 years). Author - Traditional Construction for Sustainable Future (SPON Technical Press - 2011) and Farm and Rural Buildings - A Guide to Conservation, Sustainability and Economy (Crowood Press - 2013).

Carole is passionate about traditional buildings, their importance to the historic landscape and the need to conserve them for future generations. She has a wealth of experience in helping home owners make to repair and to make the most of living in their traditional buildings and creating a sustainable future.
